A cloudburst wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Sunday morning. It damaged several fields and roads; however, no loss of life was reported.
Following the situation, Badrinath Highway near Karnaprayag has been closed.
“Many houses were damaged in the cloudburst. One motor workshop was washed away completely,” a local said.
According to reports, affected families have been shifted to a safer places and rescue operation is still on.
