CBI carried out searches at 14 places connected with Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar in the national capital, including his residence, and various locations in Uttar Pradesh.
Kumar has been booked under 120-B of IPC (criminal conspiracy), and 13(2), 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (Criminal conspiracy, criminal misconduct etc) for allegedly favouring a private company in five contracts worth Rs 9.5 crore during 2007-14.
Exclusive details of the seizure by CBI:
* 1 spiral notepad of Delhi Transco limited
* 1 black and one yellow dairy title Banzo
* 1 back dairy matrix & one parker (pen), one key of SBI civil lines bank locker
* 1 Apple laptop, one iPad, LG nexus phone, Seagat harddisk, 5 CD’s
* 4 pen drives of eight GB and two 32 GB
* 1 digital voice recorder
* A total of 17 liquor bottles including, one black lable, one blue lable, one Glenfiddich, one Teachers 50, three Chivas, one Glen Morangie
* Recovered about Rs 16 lakh, including Rs 2.4 lakh in cash, foreign currency of the value of Rs 3 lakh from the residence of Kumar.
* Email ID and password was also obtained
* Search was headed by Atul Hajala, DSP CBI with two inspectors Ved Jyoti and NC Naval
* Chataniya and Satyendra were two independent witnesses
* 1 property paper @G – 26 greater Noida
* A set of papers containing different bank accounts and one of property.
Rajender Kumar was found present at the said premises. The search warrant was shown to him which he signed at the time of the scene. Search warrant was issued by Ajay Kr Jain, Special Judge CBI on Dec 14, 2015
