Chief Minster Nabam Tuki, who was reinstated by the Supreme Court on Wednesday, is set to face a tough test on Saturday when the state assembly goes on floor test.

The floor test is scheduled to take place at 1 pm today.

Earlier on Friday, the reinstated CM urged the newly appointed Arunachal governor Tathagata Roy to defer the floor test at least by ten days. However, his plea was rejected by the governor, who directed the floor test to take place by July 16.

Citing apprehension that the present government does not command required majority in the Assembly, the Governor asked Tuki to prove his majority on the floor of the House
tomorrow, a Raj Bhavan communique in Itanagar said.
