Just a week after a price cut in iPhone 5s, Apple decided to slash prices of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India by up to 20 per cent.

The iPhone 6s-16 GB variant is now available at Rs 43,948 in India. The price cut is applicable on all the variants of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus series phones.

The site of Amazon India has listed the iPhone 6s (Rose Gold, 16GB) at Rs 47,999 and the product is in stock. While Paytm has listed the same at Rs 50,948 with a cash-back of Rs 7,000. That means, it will effectively cost around Rs 43,948.

The iPhone 6s was launched at the starting price of Rs 62,000 which was around Rs 15,000 higher in comparison to other countries. According to reports, the price cut was made to woo buyers during the week-long Christmas-New Year season in India.

The October-December time is known as best period of sales for Apple in India. It is possible that company is trying to review the demand in the Indian market by dropping the prices.

Just a week back, Apple also reduced the prices of iPhone 5s to almost half. The iPhone 5s is available at Rs 21,500 on Amazon India and Rs 19,500 (effective price after cash-back) on Paytm site.
