63rd NFA: President Of India Confers National Film Awards | NWI

President Pranab Mukherjee is conferring 63rd National Film Award at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today. Since 2012, the prestigious Award ceremony is held every May 3 to commemorate the release date of the first Indian movie, Raja Harishchandra.

This year, Amitabh Bachchan has won the Best Actor award for ‘Piku’ and Kangana Ranaut won Best Actress for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns.”

This is Kangana’s third National Award and Amitabh’s fourth.

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar was also conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
