The locals in the Darapur Raseni village in Ferozpur were in a state of panic on Friday, after crocodile was spotted in the residential area.
Forest official reached the spot and cordoned off the area by catching it and it is said to be released in river Chamba in National Chambal Sanctuary by forest officials.
