Gurgaon, the millennium city, will now be called Gurugram. This decision has been taken by Haryana government on Tuesday, saying the decision has been taken on the basis of the representations received at several fora that it would be appropriate to rename Gurgaon as Gurugram.
To all those who feel Gurgaon lost its swag, with the new name, we will say this is not the first one. Many other states, cities, and roads in India have been through this change.
