Is Rising Air-Pollution In Delhi Reason Behind CM Kejriwal's Bad Health! | News World India

Following the highest air-pollution level so-far, Delhi Chief Minister had to cancelled all the public engagements and meetings due bad-health and breathing issues.

Kejriwal has been advised “complete bed rest” by doctors owing to a bout of fever and breathings issues, reports said on Friday.

According to a report, the air quality index currently is in ‘very poor’ category that is very close the ‘severe’, a level known as environment emergency which suggests immediate shutdown of schools. The pollution level in the national capital is same as Diwali. However, there is no such farm fire in neighbouring states like last time.

The Chief Minister remained absent from the ongoing Winter Session of the Delhi Assembly. He is yet to make his appearance at the House.

The analysis by SAFAR shows, the pollution level has been rising since November 17, and is in the ‘worse’ category since November 21. The pollution level was remained in same category till 23.

The Delhi CM also skipped the Constitution Day celebrations organised by the Delhi government and the launch of ‘India Dialogues’, a forum for intellectuals, where he was scheduled to deliver a speech.

Kejriwal, who has in the past suffered from chronic cough and high sugar levels, had undergone an extensive naturopathy treatment Vipassana in Bengaluru earlier this year.

His cough had worsened during the hectic campaigning for the Assembly elections last winter due to the dust and pollutants he inhaled while addressing over 110 jan sabhas, doctors had said.
