In a tragic incident in Salem, Tamil Nadu, a 21-year BSc graduate ‘Vinupriya’ hanged herself till death after she found morphed and obscene pictures of her on Facebook.
According to reports, a suicide note suggested that her parents did not believe that she had not sent nude pictures of herself to whoever posted them online.
The letter says “What’s the use of living when my father and mother do not trust me?”
On the other hand, Vinupriya’s family claim that they filed the complaint with the Magudanchavadi police station ten days ago regarding the violation, but police did not take any steps, nor did they begin procedure on blocking or removing the morphed photo.
Unable to contain her disappointment, Vinupriya committed suicide on Monday afternoon when her family was away, they added.
