Google co-founder Larry Page is supporting two startups that are working on flying cars. Out of the two, one has been funded with more than $100 million so far, Bloomberg said on Thursday, mentioning sources.
According Bloomberg, Page has poured more than $100 million in Zee.Aero has conducted test flights of its prototype at an airport hangar in Hollister, California.
The news agency also revealed that the startup has a manufacturing centre on NASA’s research centre at the edge of Mountain View.
While the other one, Kitty Hawk employs about a dozen engineers and has its headquarters about half a mile away from Zee.Aero. They are also working on something similar to a giant version of a quadcopter drone.
