Amit Mishra Arrested On Assault Charges, Released On Bail
Indian spinner Amit Mishra on Tuesday was arrested for verbally and physically assaulting a woman in a hotel in Bengaluru.
However, he was granted bail and released soon after the arrest. Mishra was arrested after a three-hour long interrogation session.
In a complaint registered with the Ashok Nagar police on 27th September, the woman had alleged that she was in Mishra’s room on 25th September when he walked in.
An FIR had been filed against Mishra and the Bengaluru police had summoned the spinner and ordered him to appear before the investigating officer within seven days.
Report have said that the alleged victim knows Mishra for the last 3 years and had gone to meet him.
