A day after Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap accepted the poor performance of his movie ‘Bombay Velvet’ at the Box Office, it became a trending topic on social networking sites with many resorting to the platform to express their views.
RGV’s tweet was followed by a quick response from Anurag Kashyap, which led to a twitter war between the two directors..
One such tweet was by filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, the mentor of Anurag Kashyap, who felt that ‘Bombay Velvet’ was “Anurag Kashyap’s Aag”.
What started as a casual tweet soon turned into a repartee. By the end of it, it was a trending topic enjoyed by all.
It began with Ram Gopal Varma’s tweet:
A director standing by his film rejected by the audience is like him telling a girl “I love myself and I don’t care if you don’t love me”

Well , it was undoubtedly a treat to read these comments and we hope the directors held no grudges against each other. Unlike other twitter wars, this was rather a hilarious exchange of tweets.
