Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Refused Entry, Deported From Hyderabad Airport | News World India

Noted Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was refused entry by immigration officials at Hyderabad international airport and sent back as he flew in directly from Abu Dhabi. According to reports, Rahat landed in the country on Thursday morning, at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad.

According to reports, it was over a “technical flaw” as Pakistani nationals are allowed entry into India only through airports at the four metros – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Khan was scheduled to perform at the Taj Falaknuma Palace on New Year’s eve. As per the report, the noted singer then had to take an immediate flight to Delhi from Abu Dhabi and then again flew to Hyderabad. Reports said that he was able to perform at the event.
