According to reports, after playing Leela and Mastani, Deepika will now be seen as Bhansali’s Padmavati in his ambitious project ‘Padmavati’.

‘Padmavati’ is believed to based on Mughal emperor Allauddin Khilji’s obsession for Padmavati, the queen of Chittor.
The film is expected to go on the floors in September.
Earlier this week, singer Shreya Ghoshal recorded the first song for the film and took to twitter to break the news. Shreya tweeted:

Reportedly, Prakash Kapadia, who had written the script for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has been roped in for scripting ‘Padmavati’.
