After Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor’s 2 States, another Chetan Bhagat’s novel is going to be adapted into a film. Yes, we are talking about his novel Half Girlfriend.
Mohit Suri, whose last release Humari Adhuri Kahaani proved to be one of the biggest duds of the year, will be wearing director’s hat for Half Girlfriend. The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Mohit is keen on roping Deepika Padukone for the lead role. However, according to reports, if Deepika will be unavailable then the second name that is making rounds is of Katrina Kaif.

But there has not been any confirmation from Mohit or Deepika on who will play the lead.
Chetan Bhagat’s Half Girlfriend is a coming-of-age love story set in rural Bihar, Patna, New York and New Delhi. It revolves around a Bhojpuri-speaking Bihari boy and a rich, beautiful Delhi girl whom he’s fallen in love with.
