ICS-Mumbai Metro Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign For Daan Utsav | News World India

Mumbai Metro in association with Indian Cancer Society (ICS) has decided to place a Mammography Van below Metro stations for four days, from October 5 to 8, between 9 am – 4 pm. The initiative is taken for the Breast Cancer Awareness with the aim to spread awareness and raise donation for breast cancer patients.

Most of the time, women suffer from the disease, but it is detected at a later stage. The awareness campaign will help them to understand the problem and the benefits of regular checkups.

According to reports, around 30 women can avail the free service. This will be strictly in first come first serve basis. Literature in Hindi, Marathi and English will be distributed at the ICS booths on D N Nagar, Andheri, Marol, Saki Naka and Ghatkopar stations. In order to encourage people to donate for the cause, posters, announcements and flash mobs would be held on different stations.
