Housing, com CEO Rahul Yadav Now Challenges Zomato, Ola CEOs To Gift Their Shares | News World India

It seems Rahul Yadav, the co-founder & CEO of Housing.com can not stay away from news. A day after he announced transferring his entire share holding worth Rs 150-200 crore to the company’s employees, he has now challenged fellow Ola and Zomato CEOs to do the same with half of their stakes.

Yadav issued the challenge to fellow IIT alumunus Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO, of Zomato and Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Olacab on Facebook. He wrote, “Now I challenge Deepinder Goyal of Zomato and Bhavish Aggarwal of Olacabs to continue this noble act and give away HALF (not full) OF THEIR SHARES to their employees. And I hope both of them spread the nominations further.”

Replying to his post, Goyal said, “Aww, so cute”, while Aggarwal replied, “Give that man a cookie.”

On Wednesday, Yadav has announced in a meeting that he is giving away all of his Rs 200 crore personal equity in the company to all the employees. According to him, the reason behind gifting his shares to the 2251 employees is, “it is too early in life to be serious about money etc”.

“Every employee of Housing.com is now a company shareholder,” the company said in a statement on Thursday announcing Yadav’s decision to pledge all his shares to the staff. The employees will get approximately 1 year of their annual salaries worth of Housing stocks, the statement said.

Yadav was in news recently for sending a controversial resignation letter to the company’s board questioning the members’ “intellectual capability”, only to apologise and withdraw later.
