Over a dozen people, including a local BJP leader, have been booked in two separate cases of trying to incite communal tension in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday.
Atam Prakash, BJP district general secretary, and his public relations officer Vikrant Sharma, were booked for allegedly circulating a morphed picture with communal overtones on WhatsApp, police said.
The message was circulated on September 14 and the case was registered soon after police came to know about the incident, they said.

Prakash had allegedly uploaded the picture on a WhatsApp group created by Sharma, police said.
Prakash is absconding while Vikrant is being questioned though he has not been taken into custody as yet, police said.
In a separate case, nearly a dozen people have been booked for allegedly attacking members of a particular community who were found in possession of bovine animals.
