The United States is preparing to defend itself against the low-level threats from the “erratic” North Korea.
US President Barack Obama in an interview to the CBS News said that the nation was positioning its missile development system and setting up a “shield” to block the “relatively low-level” threat from the south-east Asian nation.
While describing North Korea as “a massive threat”, Obama said that their first priority was to protect the American people and their allies.
“We could, obviously, destroy North Korea with our arsenals. But aside from the humanitarian costs of that, they are right next door to our vital ally, Republic of Korea,” he said.
