Sabeel Ahmed, LeT-Al Qaeda Recruiter, Arrested In Saudi Arabia
Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, a suspect in the 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack, was arrested on Friday from Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, a suspect in the 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack, was arrested on Friday from Saudi Arabia.

Ahmed, who has served 18 months in jail in UK, was arrested for concealing information about his brother, Kafeel Ahmed’s planned attack on Glasgow Airport.

Allegedly, Ahmed also aided in the recruitment of Indian youths in Pakistan-based Al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

Ahmed is from Bangalore, India and was first arrested on June 30, 2007 in Liverpool for his connections with the Glasgow attack.

After serving time in UK, he was deported to India, following which, he moved to Saudi Arabia.

It has been reported that India would seek his extradition after his identity is confirmed by Indian authorities.

A chargesheet was also filed against Ahmed by Delhi Police Special Cell.
