Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam was handed over to the French authorities on Wednesday.
“Salah Abdeslam has been surrendered to the French authorities this morning,” Belgian authorities said in a statement.
Belgium-born French citizen Abdeslam faces prosecution in connection to the Paris terror attack that killed 130 people in the French capital last November.
According to reports, Abdeslam is due to appear before the investigating magistrate on Wednesday and would be placed in judicial custody.
Abdeslam was captured by the Belgian authorities four days before separate suicide bomb attacks rocked Brussels airport and metro station in March killing 32 people.
