Earlier on Thursday, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs had received a formal application for asylum from Bugti.

Bugti also remarked on the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech at United Nations General Assembly. He said, “Taking up only Jammu and Kashmir issue at UNGA shows their hypocrisy.”

Bugti further added, “What are you (Pakistan) doing in Afghanistan? Bangladesh? Every neighbour is tired of you. Pakistan should be declared as terrorist state.”
