People at the Starbucks in Connaught Place, Delhi witnessed an unexpected visitor when Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani walked through the doors of the coffee shop.
An image of Irani waiting in a queue for her order at Starbucks without the need of any security personnel or assistants, uploaded by Facebook user Nimish Dubey on Friday, has recently gone viral.
Baffled visitors gawked at the Cabinet Minister as their coffees grew cold when she walked in, waited in a queue, placed an order, took her coffee and casually stepped out.
Apparently, she’s a regular at that outlet. From her previous visits, Irani seems personable, striking up pleasant conversations with the staff, and accommodating people’s selfie requests.
The news is sure to boost sales at the store with people driving in, hoping to meet the Cabinet Minister.
So, the next time you’re at the store, remember to maintain a lookout!
