Denise Robertson, the long-serving agony aunt on This Morning show, has died aged 83. Robertson, from Sunderland, had been with the programme since it began in 1988.
She had bravely announced in February that she had been diagnosed with the disease.
This Morning presenters, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, have paid emotional tributes to TV agony aunt. Robertson, who was from Sunderland, lost her stepson John to cancer in 2006 aged 44, and her husband Alex died from lung cancer in 1972.
