A Mumbai-based tabloid gave the worst possible headline after it got an exclusive interview of PVV Lakshmi, the wife of Pullela Gopichand and a former national Badminton player who represented India in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
The leading tabloid published a headline which said, “Sindhu Has What I Didn’t Have Back Then- My Husband.”
What Lakshmi really meant to say was that that Sindhu was lucky to have Gopichand as her coach.
The misleading headline enraged Twitterati, who slammed the tabloid for its headline selection.
Here is how the people reacted:
Writer: “We have a quote from Gopichand’s wife about what a great coach he is; any headline ideas?”

So if you want to grab eye balls put a mischievous headline. Deteriorating standards of journalism.https://t.co/sTHBk9G1b1
