Reliance Jio 4G will be launched on 5th September, said company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani.
Ambani made the announcement at the Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting on Thursday.
He further talked about the other aspects of the much-anticipated 4G VoLTE service.
Ambani appealed to all fellow operators to provide interconnect with Jio so that no Jio customer suffer and asked incumbent providers not to create unfair hurdles at the point of interconnect between Jio and other customers.

Ambani noted that Jio customers suffered 5 crore call failures due to insufficient interconnect capacity.
The Jio 4G services is the biggest launch of Reliance group this year and has been generating a lot of user interest across the country and millions of people have already bought the Reliance Jio SIM for the free data during the trial period.
Mobile data is still at a premium in India, and Jio’s offer seems to have caught people’s attention simply because of its cost – zero for a limited time.
