Nokia brand makes a return to the market after a long period, as Finnish company HMD which had secured the branding rights of Nokia, unveils its first smartphone the Nokia 6 exclusively for China markets. The Nokia 6 handset will be launched in early 2017 by China e-commerce website JD.com at a price tag of 1,699 CNY (Rs 16,700).
Powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem, the Nokia 6 has comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage operating on Android Nougat. Using a bright hybrid in-cell display, the 5.5-inch fHD screen is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
In addition, the Nokia 6 comes with Dolby Atmos and dual amplifiers which provide 6dB louder sound than typical amplifiers providing unmatched clarity and deeper bass. The phone comes with a 16 megapixel auto-focus rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera.
Regarding its decision to launch the new Nokia smartphone in China first, the company said in a statement “with over 552 million smartphone users in China in 2016, a figure that is predicted to grow to more than 593 million users by 2017, it is a strategically important market where premium design and quality is highly valued by consumers.”
