Indian woman gymnast Dipa Karmakar created history by becoming the first Indian woman gymnast to qualify for Olympics

Artistic gymnist Dipa Karmakar who brought pride to India by her outstanding performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics has opted to return the BMW she was presented by Sachin Tendulkar on behalf of Hyderabad Badminton Association due to maintenance issues.

Karmakar along with Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu, were gifted BMWs, presented by Sachin Tendulkar in honour of their exemplary performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

According to sources, Karmakar was facing difficulties in managing the posh car in a city like Agartala which did not have a BMW Service Center but had narrow roads that are not well-maintained. In addition, Karmakar along with her family felt that it would be better for her to devote her time towards practicing for the upcoming Challengers Cup taking place in Germany.
