As Narsingh Yadav’s hopes of competing in the Rio Olympics diminished Haryana after he failed the second dope test, Haryana Police on Wednesday registered an FIR based on the wrestler’s complaint that his food was allegedly spiked by his rivals.

In a statement to the media, DIG Sonipat, HS Doon said that a complaint has been registered and that strict action would be taken against the culprits.

“FIR filed based on Narsingh Yadav’s complaint. Matter to be probed. Strict action will be taken against culprits,” he said.

“FIR has been registered against under Section 328 and 120 B,” he added.
