At least 36 people have been arrested following brawling between England and Russia fans in Lille city centre on Wednesday during the ongoing Euro 2016 tournament.
A total of 16 people were hospitalised following the brawl, according to French authorities.
Earlier UEFA, football’s European governing body, fined Russia 150,000 euros ($168,200) over their football fans’ misconduct during their opening match of the Euro 2016 against England last week.
UEFA also issued a provisional suspension for Russia, implying they would be disqualified from the major European football tournament in case of the recurrent instance of Russian fans’ misbehaviour.
Meanwhile, French officials annoujnced that 20 Russians will be deported following the violence.
