simmonsPhil Simmons has been sacked as head coach of the West Indies, five months after the team clinched the World Twenty20 title, the WICB officials confirmed.

In an official statement, the cricket board stated that their decision was due to ‘differences in cultural and strategic approach’ that arose from Simmons’s public pronouncements and internal approach.

With the departure of Simmons, Team manager Joel Garner and coaches Henderson Springer and Roddy Estwick will head the side in its upcoming series against Pakistan in the UAE.
