Rajasthan HC Issues Notices To State Govt Over BCCI's Decision To Host IPL Matches In Water-Crisis Hit Jaipur
Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to the state government, Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI), Water Resources Department, PHED department, Sports and Youth department and Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) asking about their decision to host IPL matches in Jaipur.

Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to the state government, Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI), Water Resources Department, PHED department, Sports and Youth department and Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) asking about their decision to host IPL matches in Jaipur.

The High Court on Thursday has demanded for a reply over shifting the matches played after April 30 from drought-hit Maharashtra to Rajasthan, which is also facing water shortage.

State government is expected to file the reply by April 27 when the matter comes up for hearing again.

Notice was issued after the Bombay High court verdict to shift the on-going matches out of the drought-hit Maharashtra to Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.

A PIL was filed on Wednesday before Rajasthan High Court.
