Hanif Mohammad’s son on Thursday clarified that his father is ‘alive and breathing’, reports The Dawn.
Earlier, there were reports that Legendary Pakistan Test batsman Hanif Mohammad passed away after battling with cancer since long.
Earlier this week, Hanif was put on ventilator as his condition has deteriorated, according to family members.
The cricketer commonly referred as the ‘Little Master’ was already facing health complications and undergoing treatment for cancer.
It was reported that Hanif was going through breathing problems, owing to which he was shifted to a ventilator on Thursday.
Earlier, the 81-year old was hospitalised due to complications from a recurring cancer disease.
He had complained that no government official was responding to his calls for financial assistance.
Following which, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had announced that the federal government would bear all medical expenses of the ailing cricketer.
The 81-year-old was admitted to Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi last month due to respiratory complications after being diagnosed with lung cancer three years ago.
