The Indian Premier League 10th Edition schedule has been revised due to the MCD elections in Delhi scheduled for April 22.
Due to the municipal elections in Delhi that are set to take place on April 22, the Indian Premier League matches involving Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rising Pune Supergiants have undergone minor changes.
The game between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Mumbai Indians (MI) which was scheduled to happen at capital Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla stadium at 4 pm has been rescheduled and will be now played in Mumbai at 8 pm. Pune Supergiants will play on the same day but their game Sunrisers Hydervbad has been pushed ahead to a 4.00 PM start on the April 22.
The IPL will be played from April 5 to May 21.
This is not the first time that the IPL schedule has been altered because of external factors. Last year, after a directive from Bombay High Court to the Maharashtra government, a total of 12 matches were shifted out of the drought-hit state. The first half of the 2014 edition and the entire 2009 chapter were held in the United Arab Emirates and South Africa respectively because of the general elections.
