Oxigen Services has bagged the title sponsorship of Intex Technologies-owned Gujarat Lions
for the upcoming season of IPL.
The digital payments company has also earmarked a budget of Rs 100 crore for sports marketing activities this year.
“Oxigen wallet has a huge tech savvy and young consumer base, who are deeply connected with cricket and technology, thus, it was logical for us be associated with a ‘young’ IPL
team and Intex,” Oxigen Wallet Director and Chief Mentor Ankur Saxena said.
As the newest entrant in the league, the team will be guided by Captain Suresh Raina and coach Brad Hodge.
“We are very happy to have a leading brand like Oxigen to be associated with Gujarat Lions as the title sponsor. Considering the synergy between the two leading brands in consumer technology space, it is indeed a value addition to the Gujarat Lions,” Keshav Bansal, Gujarat Lions Owner and Intex Technologies Director, said.
Oxigen has already signed Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador.
In the recent past, Oxigen has sponsored tournaments like Masters Champions League 2020, UAE; Cricket All Stars, USA; the South African Proteas #Proteafire & the New Zealand
Blackcaps, #Backupblackcaps, for World T20.
Besides cricket, Oxigen has also been associated with other sports like football (Kerala Blasters) and hockey (Hockey India League).
