India finished first innings at 269/6 setting a target of 270 runs for New Zealand in the 5th One Day International at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
Indian star player Virat Kohli seemed to be in form but has to return pavilion at 65 runs in 76 balls, while skipper MS Dhoni also tried to push the score board but ended up scoring 41 in 59 balls.
Rohit Sharma emerged to be the high scorer among all the players with 70 runs in 65 balls. Virat and Rohit managed to score a half century each in the entire batting line-up.
Earlier, Indian skipper MS Dhoni won the toss against New Zealand and opted to bat first in the match.
India and New Zealand are standing neck to neck in the series with two wins each in the ODI series of five matches.
