In the wake of ongoing assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendera Modi will address three rallies in West Bengal’s Madarihat,Asansol and Siliguri today.
The first phase of polling in West Bengal on Monday witnessed around 80% turnout from 18 constituencies.
According to analysts, BJP will struggle to establish a toehold in the state as Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress’ popularity is going to give tough competition to PM Modi.
During the first phase of polling, PM Modi urged the state to vote in large number he tweeted:
Urging all those voting in West Bengal & Assam today to vote in large numbers. Young friends in particular must exercise their franchise.

Now, the second half of the first phase of assembly polls will take place on April 11, where voters from 31 constituencies will cast their votes.
