Second green revolution is going to happen in eastern India and eastern UP, want eastern side to develop, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
PM Modi made the statement while addressing a rally in Gorakhpur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the revival of a sick fertiliser plant here, a move which will create up to 4,000 jobs and ensure adequate supply of nutrients to farmers in Uttar Pradesh.
Amid a huge round of applause from the public, Modi said “it would be wrong to say that work of a factory which was closed for 26 years has been started because of me”.
“If you had not voted for us then this work which was pending since 26 years, still would have been pending.” “Credit goes solely to you as you are the ones who brought us to power & strengthened our hands”, he added.
PM Modi also visited Gorakhnath Temple, where he offered prayers in the morning and unveiled the statue of Mahant Avaidyanath in the temple.
In a brief address to the saints in the state, PM Modi said, “It’s my privilege that I had the opportunity to unveil the statue of Avaidyanathji who is inspiration to all.” “This land is special. Be it Gautam Budhha, Mahavir or
Kabir, they all have had an unbreakable bond with this land in some way or other”, he said.
