Mumbai police on Saturday arrested three suspicious men from Uran area.

Investigations are on. Further details are awaited.

Earlier on Thursday, the city was put on high alert and search operations were launched after schoolchildren spotted five suspicious-looking men close to a naval base in Navi Mumbai.

Two students – a girl and a boy – saw four to five people in Pathan suits with shoulder bags.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday appealed to citizens not to panic and said all precautions are being taken after a high alert was sounded along the Mumbai coast and adjoining areas.

According to reports, students have claimed that they overheard the men say the words ‘school’ and ‘ONGC’.
