Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao moved into his new official residential buildings complex at Begumpet here today.
The ‘Griha Pravesam’ (house warming ceremony) was performed in a traditional way at 5.22 AM, the auspicious ‘muhurtham’. The rituals included ‘Vasthu Puja’, ‘Sudarshana Yagam’ and ‘Purnahuti’.
The function was kept low key, as due to the cash crisis chief minister is also facing a lot of criticism over expenditure to build the new official residence according to his personal beliefs.

The new residence of chief minister has been named as ‘Pragathi Bhavan’ by the state government.
The official buildings complex, including the Chief Minister’s residence and office; a conference hall and two existing buildings.
The conference hall, named ‘Janahita’, will serve as a meeting place for the Chief Minister.
In ‘Janahita’, the CM will interact with various sections of the people, including farmers, workers, employees, artisans and a host of others on policy formulation and on their implementation, a state government release said.
Some media reports said the new posh official residential buildings complex came up on a space of over one lakh square feet, with several facilities and measures.
Reports also claims that the new building complex also houses a bullet-proofing of bathrooms.
