Six people out of eight have been arrested in connection with Thane ATM cash van robbery case on Friday morning.
According to Maharashtra DGP Praveen Dixit, cash worth Rs 3 crore 12 lakh (out of 9 crore 16 lakh) has been recovered, and three cars have been seized that were used in robbery.
“There are reports of presence of some other accused in other states, our teams chasing them,more arrests likely to be made soon,” said Maharashtra DGP.
A gang of about eight dacoits allegedly looted the office of an ATM cash handling company in Thane (Maharashtra) on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place around 3 AM when the accused – armed with weapons – broke into the company office situated near Teen Hath Naka and looted about Rs 9 crore in cash.
