Sadhus from Juna Akhara sect at Simhastha 2016 in Ujjain on Sunday attacked policemen, alleging that thieves handed over to the police by them were let off without any probe.
Reports claim, several incidents of thefts have been reported by sadhus at the biggest religious conclave that began in Ujjain on April 22 amidst tight security arrangements.
A protest march was also organised by another group of sadhus on Sunday after a sadhu was attacked with a sharp weapon near a temple.
The religious congregation will last for one month and is seeing the presence of devotees from various parts of the country and world.
This time ‘Kinnar Akhada'(temporary monastery) is the major attraction of the Simhastha Kumbh.
