A special CBI court in Mumbai has issued judicial requests to Singapore, Hong Kong and the US in the Sheena Bora murder case seeking details of financial transactions done by main accused Indrani Mukerjea and her husband Peter.

Earlier last week, The driver of Indrani Mukerjea, Shyamvar Rai, the accused who had turned approver in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, had revealed that it was Indrani herself who had strangulated Sheena, while he and Indrani’s husband Sanjeev Khanna helped.

Narrating the entire series of events on the fateful night of April 24, 2012, Rai confessed that Khanna and himself helped Indrani in murdering Sheena. While he had covered Sheena’s mouth, Khanna had held her limbs tightly, while Indrani strangulated her.

The first chargesheet related to the case, was filed by the CBI in November last year. They had also arrested Peter the same day, along with Indrani, Rai and Sanjeev Khanna. All four have been imprisoned since then.

According to the prosecution, Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012, but the crime came to light after the arrest of Mr. Rai in another case in August 2015.
