Sheena Bora Case: Bail Application Of Sanjeev Khanna Rejected By Special CBI Court
The Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court, which is probing the murder of of Sheena Bora in 2012, on Friday rejected the bail application of Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani Mukherjea’s ex-husband.

The Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court, which is probing the murder of of Sheena Bora in 2012, on Friday rejected the bail application of Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani Mukherjea’s ex-husband, stating that there was sufficient criminal conspiracy and criminal motive to deny bail.

Judge HS Mahajan passed the order on Friday.

Earlier on July 26, the CBI had opposed the bail application of Sanjeev Khanna.

Khanna had appealed for bail on June 25 in a city civil and sessions court, on the grounds that the CBI had both failed to prove that he was present with Ms Mukherjea and that he had any motive to commit the crime.

Sheena Bora went missing on April 24, 2012. In August 2015, police arrested her mother Indrani Mukerjea, stepfather Sanjeev Khanna and her mother’s driver, Shyamvar Rai, for allegedly abducting and killing her and burning her corpse.
