Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav has been reinstated in the Samajwadi Party and will resume duties as SP’s General Secretary, Spokesperson and be a part of the SP Central Parliamentary Board, announced Mulayam Singh Yadav in a press note.
After the reinstatement announcement, Ram Gopal said “this had to happen. I am back in the Party due to blessings of Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), he was never against me. Despite being technically expelled, I was always in the party. I have never said or done anything against the party line.”
Ram Gopal Yadav had been expelled during the height of the Samajwadi Party family feud by Shivpal Yadav on the instruction of Mulayam Singh on October 23.
Ram Gopal Yadav has familial connections with the Samajwadi Party, being a cousin of Mulayam Singh and Shivpal Yadav and is a staunch supporter of CM Akhilesh Yadav. In the recent family feud, ahead of the UP 2017 Assembly Elections Ramgopal sent letters to party workers endorsing Akhilesh as the future of Samajwadi Party.
