Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh to inaugurate 3 new power projects and to address BJP’s Parivartan Rally giving the party a push before state assembly elections due next year.
Unprecedented security arrangements have been made by the Mandi district administration ahead of the PM’s visit.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh took stock of the security arrangements for the rally personally on Monday, visiting the rally venues at Mandi and Nahan, along with state Health and Revenue Minister Kaul Singh Thakur, MP Ram Swaroop Sharma, DGP Sanjay Kumar, and senior officers of PMO and the district administration.
“We do not want to leave any stone unturned to give a warm welcome to the Prime Minister,” Singh told reporters.
Speaking of the 2017 Assembly elections, he said Congress would repeat its success and form the next government in the state.
The Chief Minister said on Sunday that Modi’s rally would have no impact on the poll prospects of BJP in the state.
