Parliament Day 11: Deadlock Continues As Opposition Waits For PM Modi

Deadlock between Opposition and Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues on Day 11 of Parliament Winter Session with the Opposition demanding the presence of PM Modi to actively discuss the demonetisation move before discussing any other matter in the Parliament.

“More than 70 people have died, and more than 1,000 people have been injured. This deadlock can only end when the prime minister comes for discussion in the house,” said Mallikarjun Kharge in Lok Sabha

In Rajya Sabha Kurien attempted to start the debate over demonetisation but Opposition demanded PM Modi’s presence before the discussion to commence.

It remains to be seen whether PM Modi will make an active presence in Parliament on Day 11.
