The budget session of parliament will begin on February 23, it was announced on Thursday.
The budget session, which is held in two parts, will continue till March 16 before going into recess for 39 days, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said in a tweet. While the first part of the session will be held from February 23 to March 16, the second will be from April 25 to May 13.
The session will resume on April 25 and conclude on May 13, 2016, he added.
The Rail Budget will be tabled on February 25, followed by the Economic Survey on February 26. The General Budget will be presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on February 29.
President Pranab Mukherjee will address the joint session of Parliament on February 23.
