Bollywood actor Anumpam Kher on Tuesday lashed out at the veteran Om Puri for insulting Indian martyrs soldiers by disapproving the ban on Pakistani artistes following the Uri and various terror attacks in India.
Joining the debate on banning the Pakistani artistes, Om Puri during a TV show said, “We haven’t forced them to join army.”
He further said, “Art and politics should be kept separate and banning the artistes will not change the situation.”
He also added that these actors are not brought to India illegally but with work visa so the producers shouldn’t suffer.
Om Puri this statement did not go well down with his fellow actor Anumpan Kher and with the Twitterati as they started criticising the Padma awardee on the social media.

Diyar Om Puri, could you tell us who forced you to act in sleazy flicks like Budda Mil Gaya. looks like ur brain has taken a toss since. — Ratnakar Sadasyula (@ScorpiusMaximus) October 4, 2016
After listening #OmPuri I am convinced no matter how big B’wood star/artist is, his/her loyalty/allegiance to India is always questionable.
