A Chennai-based tourist was on Monday injured after a stone from one of the Taj Mahal’s minarets fell on his head.

While Nisar Ahmed, who works in a software company in Paris, on a trip of Taj Mahal with his family, a stone from the south-western minaret fell on his head leaving him injured. He was incidently taken to a nearby hospital where doctors discharged him after first aid.

This is the third case in a year when a portion of the Taj Mahal has fallen off while renovation work by the Archaeological Survey of India is going on.
